In 8.0 the integrated sametime allowed you to paste screenshots into the chat window and send them to other users using 8.0 integrated sametime.

In 8.0.1 this I believe is now disabled as trying to paste screenshots gives the error "The image cannot be pasted because rich messaging is not available in this chat"

What is required for rich messaging? The full 8 sametime client install?
